Let us transform you into the princess hidden inside you.
We are open and ready to assist in any way we can.
The Covid-19 pandemic has had its effects on our business and we would REALLY appreciate your support.
We are fully vaccinated and all relevant Covid-19 protocols are observed. Please be sure to book!.
Well, well, well… The lockdown continues. Things at work are starting to slow down. I want to get a few proposals out and we still have some admin to do but most of the really big stuff seems to be behind us so now we are kind of in a holding pattern.
This has meant I have been able to spend some time thinking about things, and attending to a social media backlog.
This has resulted in a TERRIBLE lapse of judgement. I have gone and entered a Glamour Girl Photo Competition. Why? It seemed a good idea at around midnight one night. Yes girls make sure that you GET YOUR SLEEP it stops you doing dumb stuff like entering Glamour Girl Photo Competitions.
There are probably also deep rooted issues at play, gender dysphoria, a need to express my identity that is currently being constrained, anxiety and a…
We will be at the Rocky Horror Show at The Teatro at Monte Casino on 22 February at 8 pm. We will be on the BALCONY and tickets start from just R160 each.
We really hope to see you there.
You can book at Computicket. We will not be doing any bookings.
Of course Priscilla’s Services will be available for those wanting to make use of our transformation and makeup services, or if you just need a place to dress (and possibly stay over).
Please contact us to book a makeover, transformation etc.
Should there be sufficient interest we would be very happy to arrange a pre-show get together. And of course post-show parties are always an option!
Well Sweetpeas, summer has come, and gone… Like a lover in the night, it has abandoned us to the sweet mercies of the cold hard truth of ever colder (and darker) mornings. We managed to get one last fling in before the seasons turned and Priscilla’s organised one of our midweek outings on 28 March.
We decided to impose ourselves on the good people at Trouble Bar. We have been somewhat remiss and have not been to the ‘new’ Trouble venue since they moved there almost two years ago. This was simply due to us being busy doing other things. As always, we were treated fantastically by Hilton and his staff were all professional and courteous in the extreme.
The evening started early for us. I raced home from a lunch time business meeting and started getting myself presentable. Irene was already hard at work as she had two makeovers to do. I did my usual beauty routine and chose an outfit and got myself ready. In the meantime, our friend Suzie arrived from work to get ready.
We were particularly pleased to have a visitor from Spain stay with us. She was in Johannesburg on business and had decided to extend her stay to include a little ‘personal’ time. She had visited us nearly two years ago and it was fantastic to renew the acquaintance.
Having completed everyone’s makeup Irene came in and started to get ready herself… She very kindly found a few spare minutes to ‘touch up’ my makeup and fix my most glaring errors. While she was getting ready Susanna, Suzie and I sat and chatted over a drink. Unfortunately, Liza could not join us as she was not yet ready and she needed to pick up a friend on the way to Trouble…
Then as always, a problem arose (come on, you know it wouldn’t be an undercover tgirl outing without some or other near disaster befalling us) … My reprobate dog sneaks out of the property any opportunity he has and goes and visits our elderly neighbour where he is thoroughly spoiled. Getting treats, being allowed to sleep with her in her bed etc. He had snuck out and been with her sometime. She phoned to ask us if we wanted him back. Erm… What to do? I was in full en femme mode and whilst I don’t mind what she thinks of me, I also do not want to give her a heart attack! Fortunately, Irene was by now ready and she performed operation dog rescue on my behalf!
There was time for a few quick photos and then we headed on to Trouble.
Nicci and Michelle were already at Trouble when we arrived. It was wonderful to see Hilton again after such a long time and it was nice to catch up with Nicci and Michelle too. Soon we were joined by Jenny as well. I was starting to get a little worried about Liza as I thought she should have arrived not long after us. She arrived a little while later, slightly flustered. She had been pulled over by the police on the way to us after picking up Stef… This is always a stressful occurrence. If your drivers’ licence does not match your presentation it leads to awkward questions and you can never be sure that the police won’t get ‘difficult’. I have personally never had a problem with the police (I have been pulled over twice) but I have heard of people who have been harassed by some police officers. Fortunately, Liza was ok and the police were not too problematic.
A lovely evening ensued and the food and drink flowed freely. I was impressed with my food. It was reasonably priced (I had one of the ‘specials’) and plentiful. It was also rather tasty! The pink drink I had was divine… I LOVE pink drinks.
Just as we had finished eating, Carla and Petrus arrived. It was Carla’s birthday that day and I was surprised but very happy to see her as I had not seen her for some time. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARLA! Many selfies and photos were taken. Old acquaintances were renewed and some new connections forged. Everyone seemed to have a good time and we all enjoyed ourselves.
Then, a funny thing happened. I needed the toilet and managed to walk into the men’s facility by mistake! Fortunately, I was the only person using it at the time. This has been something of a recurring problem for me of late… A few weeks ago, I was at Rosebank Mall in male mode and I walked into the women’s toilets by mistake… Then at a school function a few days later (again in male mode) I NEARLY walked in to the women’s toilets… Clearly, I need to pay more attention to the way I am dressed and DOUBLE check signage before entering these facilities.
A big thank you to everyone who came out midweek to share in an evening of fun and friendship. I hope you all had as much fun as I think you did. As always thanks to Hilton for hosting us. We need to try and do these a little more frequently in future. Hopefully we can think of a FUN weekend activity in the near future… All ideas welcome!
The organisers of this sexilicious event would be more than happy to have any of us transgender, crossdresser type folk attend this event.
They are very transgender/crossdresser friendly and the crowd should be accepting as well.
It looks like it could be a fun event. It will obviously ‘adult’ in nature but not threatening in any way. Lola Montez specialises in providing a safe, professional and pleasant experiences.
I think some of you may be interested in attending…
Hope you can make it.
We would like to wish all our clients, friends, readers, followers and everyone else out there a very happy and safe festive season.
We hope to be able to make more of you happy in 2019 and look forward to the privilege of helping more of you find your true selves next year.
Thank you for all your support this year. It has been an interesting year for us and we have made great progress. We could not have done it without you. Let’s make 2019 an even better year for ALL of us.
Being the sophisticated social butterflies that we are, my spouse and I decided it would be fun to invite some of our nearest and dearest friends to a dinner party at our house to celebrate the end of 2018 and the start of the Christmas season. We settled on a weekend and invited a number of our friends, asking which day would suit them best. The feedback and our own schedule coincided happily and we decided to host the party on a Friday evening.
Happily, one of the girls’ grandmothers invited them to a nativity play (the eldest was less than enthusiastic; being one, 11 years old and two, an avowed atheist, but she good naturedly tolerated being dressed as an angel for the night). This meant they could sleep over at a grandparent’s house and we could happily host away.
So, Halloween is an excellent opportunity (excuse?) to dress up and get out and about. If you are recognised, well you are just having some innocent Halloween gender bending fun. If your presentation is a little ‘off’, well you are in dress up mode, so what?
With this in mind I am pleased to tell you about not one but two Halloween parties that are happening this Halloween.
On 31 October (Halloween itself), Amuse will be hosting a midweek Halloween party. Entrance is free and there will be a free bottle of whisky for the best dressed person at the party.
On Saturday 27 October, there will be a party at Trouble (aka Big Boss Diner). Like Amuse, entrance is free and there will be prizes for the best dressed. Hilton has also promised drinks specials throughout the night!
I honestly cannot guarantee that Irene and/or I will be at either of these events, we will do our very bets, but life has been hectic lately and I am not sure it will get any better in the short term, but we would encourage you all to get out if you can.
The last Halloween party I attended was a long time ago in 2015. I went to an event hosted by Lola Montez (when she was still doing events) and then I went to Trouble. Both were a lot of fun and it really helped me gain confidence in getting out on my own… I thought I would share a few pictures that may inspire you.
This is a fantastic opportunity to safely get out and about and also support those LGBT friendly institutions that give us a safe place to socialise. On that note it is always nice to meet like minded people, share some experiences and of course have a little bit of a party too!
Hope to see you all out in your amazing fabulousness.

Some feedback on the Slutwalk outing and post walk lunch at Lucio’s… I sure had a fulfilling day out. I hope all the others who joined did as well. Hope to see more of you at our next event (watch out we are working on something Halloweeny) and also at next year’s Slutwalk!
I would also like to thank Lucio’s for their fantastic hospitality AND thank and acknowledge the bravery of all of you who came out in support of the day. I know it can be nerve wracking moving around amongst ‘normal’ people in a ‘vanilla’ setting when you are fully or partially en femme. You were all amazingly brave and I salute your courage and thank you for participating. For privacy reasons I won’t mention you all by name but feel free to comment and claim your kudos.
We once again attended Slutwalk this year. This was my third walk and they do not get any easier. I find them emotionally charged events and I am often brought to tears as we walk through the streets of Johannesburg’s suburbs. And yet I do find the walk enjoyable. It is so good to feel part of a collective effort trying to do something about the scourge that is rape culture. I am in awe of then people who come forward and share their stories publicly. I am empowered in my daily life when I think of those who have so bravely reported their rapists and fought for justice to be done.
We got up relatively early for a Saturday morning and after a quick breakfast we started getting ready. Preparations were complicated by a series of interruptions including having to make and deliver a last minute breakfast order to…
